Just thought I`d share this with you. I am currently tracking some hardcore/metal vocals, and I used a Mindprint En-Voice MK2 for one song, and then it started to make some strange sounds, so we decided to put that preamp on hold, and luckily we got our hands on a Audient ASP008.
So far I`ve only tried it with the SM7B for these vocal sessions, but my does it sound nice!!! It is awesome on this mic, at least. More transparent sound, and a bit more high end as well, making the sound on the vocals even easier to fit in the mix with the rest of the music.
I am really looking forward to track both bass and guitars with these preamps in the following weeks.
Anyone here having any experience with this product? How does it sound on hi-gain guitars and how does the DI input sound?
