Hi Andy well, finally my ddrum arrived, so we are goint to use it in our recording but..........i wann know some things , well first
do yuo use only the ddrum sounds imean we are trying to mix the sounds from the ddrum with de natural sounds(mics )?
Do you use the pre amps to make the ddrums soudns biggers and more natural before to mixed or what?
thanks for all and whhen we finished would be cool i f you can listen what we got to tell us your opinion ok?

You'll need a drum module that actually plays a sound when the input from the ddrum trigger rises above a set threshold (thus the term "trigger"). This sound could really be anything. But most people that I know record the triggers direct and then go back and apply a patch during mix.

Look into the alesis dm-5, the dm-pro, or the roland TD series (td-7, td-8 7d-10 etc..). You could probably order a dm-4 for less than $200 if your budget is tight. But you definitely should get a module, the direct sound of the trigger probably won't do you too much good.
