I've recently been remaking a lot of older cables and making a bunch of newies - and have been looking at making some multicore cables for tidiness (more so for live application than studio). It's extremely easy to get good 4-core, 8-core, whatever.... EXCEPT two core cable..
Having half a dozen two core XLR cables would be perfect for my mic kit as half the things I mic have two mics - Kick, snare, bass, guitars, etc....

The only two core cable I can find that would be suitable is a two core DMX cable - obviously the first thing that comes into mind is difference in cable impedance compared to a regular audio XLR.

From memory, DMX cabling is 120 ohms while audio is 80 ohms - how will this affect my signal and will it be favourable or not so? I'm not entirely clued up when it comes to the physics side of a lot of stuff so any input would be appreciated.
