picked up soundtoys microshift plugin based on the classic eventide harmonizer and I love what it does to a centered mono guitar track as an insert at 50%. I would like to use it on a song with double-tracked hard panned guitars but can't seem to get the same effect. Any tips on how to use it this way? maybe on a guitar bus?

I have the microshift, and like you, I haven't been able to get that widening effect on hard panned guitars. I did, however, try it on an FX send for the guitar bus at low levels mixed with the guitars. It was a technique I heard about from Dan Korneff, but I couldn't quite work it out in the end.
