Using MXR M80 bass DI with guitars (bypassed DI portion of it)?

Anyone done it? Is there technical reasons why it wouldn't work? Manual says it should be straight conversion.

I'm mainly looking for a clean DI box/impedance conversion for DI guitars to input profire 2626 and not totally in a mood to pay for countryman or radial right now as I own the MXR.

Profires hi-z's never sounded bad in imo, but maybe this is something to try, if the M80 doesn't fuck up the conversion a lot.

Best bet is to try it out and compare to the profire hi-z input, but as long as the M80's input impedance is high enough I reckon you'll be fine actually.

I use a sansamp like this all the time for live gigs with keys, acoustics, backing tracks etc... I think it's actually a really nice sounding DI box. I've had fantastic results using it off on acoustic guitars.
