I just picked up a 2nd hand 6260 (i know bugera's are a dangerous topic around here lol) and im looking at replacing the tubes 2moro. Ive done a bit of reading online and i see alot of recomendations for using ecc83's instead of 12ax7's for the 5 preamp tubes.
Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for this, as in which is better and why? Preferably tubes that are available in Australia.
Im looking at replacing the 6l6's also, and from what i've read im best sticking with those, best for crunchy metal tones anyway? Any other suggestions?
