let me explain something you in the most simple way possible
emo is a form and a derivative of PUNK
its about having a whinge and killing yourself because your girlfriend dumped you...
Vehemence is Melodic Death Metal, a form and derivative of death metal
theres 3 type of death metal vocals roughly
theres gore obsessed stuff, IE Cannibal Corpse, theres spacey trippy stuff IE Morbid Angel and Decapitated, and then theres your Melodic Death Metal which can be a mixture of both of the other vocal type BUT with an emphasis on emotion which is shown through the music
even a fuckwit like you could understand
and also buddy, about the dickslapping thing to that dude

Please do NOT classify melodic death as emo. Ok, for better or worse alot of thse melodic metal bands are playing gigs with metalcore bands..Vehemence are not emo, even though you can here a metalcore influence on some songs on HTWTS..
Whatver, dude, emo sucks, obvioulsy Vehemence are or were a gore obssesed band as the lyrical subject matter on htwts is far more mature and realistic that your average death metal band.
Emo sucks and so do your fave metalcore bands.

Of course this thread has stimulated people to try and help guide the antagonist, and got you talking about the lyrics. CHEERS!!, witty attrition!!!! BTW:

When writing the lyrics for God was Created I followed a story that I had basically pre-determined before even beginning the writing process. The songs came together to tell the story lyrically (and musically in my opinion) of an obsessed angry young man who solves inner conflict with physical violence (and confused sexual acts) much like some fucked up kids in everyday society have been known to do (to a certain degree). Most of the emotions expressed on God was Created are the emotions of that angry young man.

Helping the World to See, however, expresses my own reactions (for the most part) and emotions in regards to atrocities occuring in everyday society.

The main thing to remember is that as artists we all actually express ourselves emotionally through our art. That includes the naysayers (that means you Mr. Ilikeeverythingbutnathanslyrics) and our friends who have been so kind as to defend our honor on this piddly little thread.

I walk away in triumph.
