Video editor software similar to audio editor??

Hey dudes,

I don't really give a shit about being industry standard or anything like that. I just want a really easy to use video editor for cutting together some footage, and then putting some audio to it. Windows 7, 64bit would be good.

Only thing I can think of is Sony Vegas, but is there anything else out there that is fairly cheap too?

I use Vegas Pro and it's quite excellent. The "home" version of that or Premiere will do whatever you need really.

Pinaccle Studio is amazing. Used to edit my bands' videos on it. Works well with most video types, even HD (it'd be a shame if it weren't)

Yes, and it's very powerful, unfortunately the GUI is totally anti-intuitive. That is where Vegas wins hands down.

vegas is the best video editing software I've used, when you get the keyboard shortcuts down it's super effective

I just started working on my very first video ever yesterday, inspired by this thread. I know nothing about editing video and I used Windows Movie Maker.....fun times. Maybe I'll post a link. Not finished and just kinda threw it together for fun.
