Well, last night I was watching TV and accidentaly switched onto the fucking Viva channel (which, especially in its polish version, is full of rap, crap and pop) and you can imagine how amazed I was when I saw 'Electric Crown'- I couldn't believe my eyes :OMG:. I thouht it was some kinda joke or mistake (who plays old-school metal on TV nowadays?), but when 'Trail By Fire', Sodom's 'Fuck The Police', Death's 'Spirit Crusher', Pro-Pain's 'Foul Taste Of Freedom' and 'Kingdom Come' by At The Gates followed (not a single nu-metal, art rock or gothic song and the only metallica's track was "Whiplash"!), I realized that this probably is an ultimate tv show. From what I've heard, it's becoming really popular, because people are eager to see metal on tv again. I've also heard that MTV 2 and a couple other channels play Kreator's and Slayer's videos pretty often. My point is that maybe TestAmenT should start making music videos again... I mean, wouldn't it be killer to see their newer material (DNR?True Believer?the new album?) on tv? Is it just me or someone else also feels this way? I don't want them to go commercial, mainstream or whatever, but it's just pretty entertaining to hear some first rate music among all this shit that's happening on tv, isn't it? Besides, let's be honest- TestAmenT isn't as popular as it should be mostly because of the fact that people don't know their music (not because they think it sucks). Everybody knows how many people have started listening to them after watching some vidz on mtv back in time, so shooting a music video (maybe a live one from the european tour for the beginning?) for some more songs would be highly beneficial for the band (and the fans, of course).
Sorry for posting such an long thread...

I agree man. The only downside to new Testament videos, and the added popularity, is that it will make it harder to get ahold of a concert ticket. ;) A band doesn't sell out when they make videos IMO. I'd like to see Testament's artistic creativity find it's way into a modern music video. Look at what Soilwork did with "Light The Torch". FN5 is not their best album and that's definately not their best song, but that video is creatively sinister, dimented, etc. I dunno. Don't bands enjoy making videos???

After watching Practice What You Preach, Trail By Fire or Nobody's Fault, I think they do. But nobody wanted to play metal videos on tv during the past decade(well, almost) and when Testament bacame heavy again, they didn't want to make vidz anymore- 1.because nobody would play them 2.it was a big "fuck you" to the whole music industry or perhaps they just got tired of making videos- very few metal bands have done as many videos as them. But now things are changing, I think; nu metal and other shit is constantly becoming less popular and good music is in favour again (it's a very slow process, though). So maybe the whole world should now see that Testament, despite all the difficulties, has been going strong through all these years, not compromising and making great heavy music, while the new trends kept coming and going. They stayed true to themselves , unlike many others haven't sought popularity or money and should be rewarded for that. Besides, their videos were really fun to watch
