Because of the non-panoramic album art in the digipack, I've been considering getting either the jewel case version of the album, wherever that's available, or the vinyl copy.

Would anyone know where to order this? And does the vinyl version have the panoramic view?

Jewel case CD can be purchased at www.lasercd.com.

the jewel case version of the cd has the full panoramic view on the booklet. the vinyl verision, to my knowledge, will be double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. the artwork should wrap the outside panels like a classic record should.

I haven't seen the 2 LP set advertised for sale anywhere. Does anyone know if there are any online places that are selling it or taking pre-orders?

man, i hope that was a joke. Jesus christ, i'm only 22 and i still remember albums being on vinyl not being a "strange" thing. Now i know how you old people feel

I didn't say that I didn't remember vinyl albums. Hell, I had a monster collection of them when I was a teenager. I asked if they still pressed them. I haven't seen an album on vinyl in any store for the last 10 years at least.

I'm sure there are plenty of those die hard vinyl fans that hate CD's and want that "pure" sound, but I just wouldn't have thought SyX, or most other bands, would bother with vinyl these days. I just can't imagine there's that big a market for it.

Yeah, i understand. Just giving you a hard time (though it is disturbing that people don't know what vinyl is to me). Yeah, there's still enough of a market to do vinyl and yeah, a lot of stuff is still pressed on vinyl. You find it more in specific genres (for example, black metal and black metal, grindcore, and thrash all see more vinyl releases than power metal or prog) but yeah, it's still out there. They're doing some kick-ass stuff too. check out www.nightofthevinyldead.com to see what kind of releases you can get these days. I have the sentenced and dying fetus ones from them and they're beautiful.
