I was listening to the latest Demon Hunter. The intro vocal for Blood In The Tears really got into my intention. The tone is definitely warm and 'airy'. Reminds me of Foo Fighters too.

Any tips on getting this airy effects? :Saint:

hmm, checked the antaress website, they're called avox evo now. I was thinking especially of the avox throat plugin, it can give thar airy raspiness i hear in the demon hunter track

i'd boost from 8k then compress really hard... In parallel. Bring it up until it has that really cutting, clean, toppy sound

joey gave me a good tip for air once... duplicate the track, high pass it at like 5k and compress that. mix to taste

depends on the mic. Sure as hell wouldnt do that on a Brauner. Those things are BRIIIIIIIGHT

Sorry for the offtopic, but as I se there are really masters in vox processing, could give me some clue about how to get this fx in the voice, in the verse and also chorus at 1:50 ???? Thanksss

Low pass up to about 5K, High pass up to about 350-400 HZ, Set your Auto Tune Antares retune speed to 0 and find the key of your vocal and set it to the right scale, probably going to be _____MINOR if your doing metal. A little Verb and delay to taste.
