No one has listed Mariah Carey? Since it's "that time of year". I've been listening to both of her Christmas Albums. She really is awesome, even if it's not metal. :p

Wow... my opinion has changed a little since but most of my fav vocalists are still up there! It is just a longer list these days ;). I'll post an extended list later, when I have the time.

Matt Smith (Theocracy)
Michael Sweet (Stryper, solo)
Christian Liljegren (Narnia, Audiovision, and a whole lot more...)
Les Carlsen (Bloodgood)
Oz Fox (Stryper, although not lead singer he has a great voice still)
Shane Tracy

Ok, this is a try to list a few but it's nowhere near complete

Gary West (Shooting Star - late 70s/early 80s rock)
Paul Stanley (KISS)
Joey Belladonna (Anthrax)
Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden)
Midnight (Crimson Glory) - RIP :erk:
Mac (Threshold) - RIP :erk:
Lance King (solo; ex-Balance of Power/Avian/Pyramaze)
Matt Smith (Theocracy)
Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica)
Marco Hietala (Nightwish)

And possibly my favorite across all genres - this may come as a surprise - is Jewel. The single greatest vocal performance I have ever encountered in person was at a Jewel concert. Simply amazing :worship:

Christian Liljegren (Narnia, Audiovision, and a whole lot more...)

The problem I have with Liljegren is that I've listened to so many albums he did the vocals on, that his voice has unfortunately lost a lot of its awesomeness for me, dare I even say it has become slightly cheesy:erk:. I don't know if his voice tends to do that naturally, it's probably me listening too often to the great music he makes, which never annoys me by the way;)

Oh, and I'm quite ashamed I forgot to mention Tony Kakko in my list in the other thread, his voice is amazing!:worship:

Matt Smith (Theocracy)
Christian Liljegren (Golden Resurrection - Divinefire - Narnia)
Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica)
Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius)
Philip Labonte (All That Remains)

Has anyone heard of David Phelps? Not remotely a PM singer, but SUCH AN AMAZING VOICE!! He mostly sings gospel-ish stuff.

OMG!!! I am such an idiot!

I FORGOT JAMES LABRIE (Dream THeater) !!!!!!!!!!! Everyone hates him, but he is 'da bom'!
and Myrath's new Zaher Zogati is great, too....
