To the mods, "people in the know" or anyone that might know:

Are there ANY plans at ANY time to re-release V8? All I've heard from it is via MP3's on the 'net and I like what I hear. With it "out of print", it's hard to come by at the buy/selll/trade CD shops. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

I asked the same and was told by someone at the N.F.W.S. that they are in negotiations to re-release Vol 8. On that note, I bought a copy from a guy on eBay and got punked by a no-show. His name is Frank Killian or goes by FunkyNiblets++ DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY< HE IS UNRELIABLE!!!

i bought it right after its release and after several months of careful listening i have been using it as a frisbee because i didn't like the music on it! it hasn't grown on me, it's the only Anthrax-record i could never get into! i tried soo hard and played it again and again and again and again and again and again but unfortunately it didn't do much for me! i know most of you like vol.8 very much but i'm so sorry i can't listen to it! as a frisbee it has been doing a good job for me for 5 years now!

Not even Harms Way? or Big Fat or Piss & Vinegar? Toast was hilarious...

IMO "Toast To The Extras" and "Piss & Vinegar" are the worst songs of Anthrax's history. i wouldn't listen to these songs if they had been recorded by an other band so why should i listen to them on an Anthrax-cd? "Hog Tied" is an ok-tune, "Crush" and "Catharsis" are ok, "Harms Way" is ok but Vol.8 is no record that blows me away. WCFYA is soooo much better, STOMP is soo much better, SOUND OF WHITE NOISE is soo much better and the oldschool-stuff can't even be compared to Vol.8 because oldschool-Anthrax is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better!

Well, "Toast..." is a song I took as a novelty road song. "Piss" to me is classic "new" Anthrax. I do love every tune on SOWN, especially "not an exit", and played the shit out of "Fueled" and "Random Acts" as well as the rest of S442. But listnening to WCFYA just solidifies that, to me, the two eras aren't really comparable. Spitz's contribution was important but replaced rather easily. Bush is by far the better vocalist, but obviously some of the old school 'Thrax is some of the best music ever. "I am th law"',"Indians","Caught in a mosh","Antisocial" ,"I'm the man" & "Bring the noise" are all beyond compare. But my brothers, people change, and we gots ta go with the flow.... :Smug:

There's a thing called a "Game DR." It fixes scratches. I had a DVD that skipped from one spot to about 7 minutes later in the movie. It was scratched.
But the Game DR. fixed it. It fixes CDs too...
(They also have DVD Dr. which is the same thing.)

I ended up downloading it since I couldn't find it and even if I bought a copy, it wouldn't benefit the band since they don't have the "rights" to it........yet. If they ever DO re-release it, I'll definitely spend the $$ on it!!!!!

With the low sales figures of WCFYA and the relatively large amount of used copies floating around, I wouldn't expect a Vol. 8 reissue any time soon.

I think it's a pretty uneven record, but "Harm's Way," "Big Fat" and "Catharsis" are among the best Bush-thrax songs ever.

I think the production is a little flat (same prob I have with Stomp) -- too bad Scrap 60 wasn't around at the time!!

"You ask me, can I deliver/like a monster crossin' the Hudson River/carrying the weight of the woooooorld" -- gets the adrenaline going every time.

Yeah, I noticed some production probs w/vol 8 too. I hadn't heard how WCFYA was selling, but I hoped it was good. I also didn't know the fellas wouldn't get any royalties from a Vol 8 re-issue, guess I will just look for a used copy (again) and hope for the best.(since I gotted punked by "funkyniblets" on eBay last time)
