Do this once a day!
This will probably give Evergrey more time on air on Z-tv.
This channel could be compared to Mtv but is only broadcasted in Sweden.

Thanx a lot for supporting Evergrey!

I'm Sorry is now #5...although I feel that it fits well into Recreation Day and I doubt this myself, do you think their reasons for covering the song were purely commercial, and could end up misrepresenting the band? Either way, I think it's great that Evergrey is getting more exposure.

Well Tom said that he loved that song from the first time he heard it and that he had wanted to do a cover of that particular song for many years.
And he felt that now was the time, otherwise some other band would have done it before them.
But it is a great song and it fits perfectly into Evergrey's musicstyle.

Hm, it's interesting when bands in this genre tries to do something different, specially since the fans are somewhat conservative. We all know the variating quality of the results, maybe that's reflecting the intent of the band covering - if it's a good cover or not. However, if I would have been on the other side so to speak and the one to take a dive into a 'normal' cd-collection, I doubt that I would have chosen just that album since my sister sort of 'back in the days' had that exactly that song from that special album on like autofire for a few months. But still, this doesn't fade the impression of song, there's room for a lot of thoughts and consideration thanks to the lyrics. I guess the circumstances plus Evergrey's covering of the song atleast opened my mind for seeing the message instead of a sort of irritating tune.

But uhm, back to the question - commercial? Maybe according to some, but definitely not with that nasty hardcore 'buy-this' touch. I'd rather say that it's a mind-opener, to a message, a genre, a band... I mean, the song has got a destinct album theme-feeling to it, the lyrics are pretty brilliant - specially for all those with a wounded soul out there.

The only reason I can come up with to do a cover, but seriously, is if you believe you can do it better than the original artist.

Evergrey did that.
