VST Amp sims

You need a low buffer size like around 128 and click the monitor or echo button (depending on your Daw) to here it directly over your playing, or track a wet and DI (dry) signal similtanuously and insert the plugins afterwards.
Hope that help'd

Thanks! That helped a lot. I'm having a problem with a bassy feedback though. I'm using Reaper and have the ReaGate (noise gate) on. I have the master volume on the mixer at -6.13db and the Lecto's volume on the mixer is -0.56db. I can hear it on top of my playing.

My chain goes, Lecto->LAconvolver (with the s-preshigh.wav in channels 1 and 2)->EQ->Gate (gated at -13.8db)

Anyone else finding tsx30 to be great as hell? Ofcourse with ts808 infront of it. AND Llolzgreg impulse.

I have heard awesome clips from the tsx30. I wish they would make it and the ts808 in VST and/or AU format for Mac users. I hate only being limited to the Lecto and the stock Reaper plug-ins even though I can get some pretty good tones. I like having options haha.

I just realized something - could a lack of gain from my DI be whats causing a lack of balls on the guitar tracks?

If they're not loud enough going into the amp sim they'll sound really weak. Try raising the input gain on the amp sim and see if that helps

When setting gain (by chugging very hard on the guitar and raising gain until its right before peaking), that should be done with my DI track right? Not with the distortion applied?
