I was referring to the American version of the Belgian waffle - with whip cream and strawberries. Total homo grub. I've only been to Belgium once, and I remember eating some kind of porkchop with Hollandaise sauce that tasted like vomit.

Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles in L.A. makes the best waffles on the planet (other than maybe a real Belgian waffle which I've never had). Waffle House is a close second. Roscoe's and Waffle House both get extra points for the ghetto/redneck factor, respectively.

How 'bout those yummy little stroopwaffles from Holland? Anybody ever try those? That shit is soooooo good - especially after a big fat blunt! :Smokin:

Pancakes > Waffles. Any good American boy knows this. This is mostly because pancakes are eaten by bright eyed sturdy young Americans who work on the farm with their pop, and waffles are consumed by commies.

IHOP is crap here. Plus, by discontinuing funnel cakes (I hear they had them before through Derick I guess) , they lose even more.

those funnel cakes were AMAZING.

But i fear the problem was bad sales due to it being a "funnel cake" which doesn't sound to be a decent food for a meal, but OH MY IT WAS. They put fruit topping on it, like apples.

and they never got rid of their stuffed french toast which IMO is seriously gross.

OHHHHHH RIGHT and I also remembered that when IHOP revamped their menu they GOT RID OF THEIR "CORN CAKES" ARGHHHHHHHHH

they were tiny pancakes made with cornbread batter mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

but they do have an abundance of decent lunch and dinner items, whereas waffle house only serves grease in waffle or hash brown form.

It's a close one..........
