I haven't seen any discussion on THE WALKING DEAD here.

Personally, I think the show has a ton of potential, but it's having a hard time reaching it. Seem others feel this way as well.

Saw season one last weekend, it was pretty good. I'll wait till 2 stops showing on TV and just watch 'em all in one weekend, I hate waiting for new episodes lololol

Watched season 1 the other day and the first of season 2. It was alright but in terms of AMC programming it wasn't amazing - I much preferred Mad Men and Breaking Bad plot and acting wise. I found it a bit ham fisted at times.

Really enjoyed the first season. Have only seen the first episode of the new season. I enjoyed it, but you can definitely tell that the directing has changed...they lost the main developer/showrunner after season 1. The acting seems a bit more hokey. Crazy ending on ep 1. I'm probably going to watch episode 2 tonight.

Anyone read the graphic novels? Pretty good stuff. I got a bunch of them for Christmas. I recommend picking up a few of volumes if you dig this story like I do. In other news, anyone think the season premier looked kind of shitty in HD this past week. The previews for Hell On Wheels looked so crisp compared to The Walking Dead. I've worked in Home A/V for years so I'm a snob tho. I missed it last night but I will watch that shiz On Demand tonight.

Decent show (big zombie fan despite how worn out that genre is by now).
But what kills it for me is how little it have to do with the comics (im a big comic fan).

I mean it started out great and then they just went in a whole different direction, changing major plots.

Oh and the actor playing Rick and the girl from prison break is IMO wrong picks for the role.

But yeah, good enough show if you dont compare it to the comics.. gonna keep watching it :)

Yeah season 2 is kind of slow, but I'm still very excited for it. Season 1 was insane.

Sarah Wayne Callies is getting on my nerves. She was good in Prison Break but in TWD with the cheap accent and all it feels kinda forced.

Williamn, the genre is overdone in the movies, but on TV, I'm pretty sure it's quite unique.

Digging the show, reaaaaally wish they would have followed the graphic novels more closely, cuz they were f'n amazing...

Anyways, I agree with the actor choices not being the greatest..

I do think Dale and Glenn were great casting choices.. and I think the Darrell/Merl characters were a good addition, even if they weren't in the comics..

Ok, now I've seen the 2 aired episodes of season 2, I honestly dont notice a difference in tone or direction from S1 like some of you guys. Still good stuff. It's always been a show to have alot of the drama elements so being slow moving is probably what a show like this needs to have any long term luck in sticking around.

Already been renewed for a third season, and broke it's first season viewership record (and any previous show on AMC) by quite a bit for the premiere ep. Nice work for a zombie based series.

Can't wait to see the guest appearence of Scott Ian as zombie!
