Hey guys, we are Farewell, Navigator. We just released our fourth demo and we wanted to get some feedback from you all. It is nowhere near studio/professional quality, but after some changes in recording techniques and whatnot we feel this is our best demo yet. Anyways, let us know what you think and what we could change to make it sound even better! Thank you :D

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say...I'm not really a fan of this - soundwise. The overheads and drums in general sound super compressed, that might just be your bus compression though. I don't like the effect you've got on the vocals, sounds like a constant lowpass filter on them, and they sound quite muddy, get some highs in them. Your clean vocals need a bit of work - performance wise, as they're pretty shaky and I think the octave they're in muds up the mix. The guitars are a bit buried for my liking, and have got quite a lot of amp sim fizz, and there's way too much low end in there, it's overlapping the guitars and burying them

Yeah, the overheads are too compressed and cause everything to sound pump-y on my speakers, as well as burying the guitars and drums. The drums sound very, VERY fake, almost like the straight SD2 Avatar preset with no processing or humanization. The vocals are a bit loud, and like Mm1066 said, it sounds like you low-passed them pretty hard. The clean vocals need some 'tuning, and the harsh vocals could use more dynamic. There's too much 'verb on the vox, too. The guitars are buried by the OHs sound overgained, and need some color and surgical EQing. It also sounds like they weren't panned hard L/R.
