Wanted!!!!

Quiet World is worth 100 bucks, to me at least, its the greatest damn song I have ever heard. Its like when I listen to it, I see myself in every single lyric...The only song ever to do that.
 
yeah, quiet world is a fantastic song - but paying a hundred bucks to have it? when you can get it, either by downloading, or waiting a few months and getting it on the compilation?? ummm... hey, okay, its your money. good luck!
 
I downloaded both songs and I´m really happpy with them. But of course, I´ll buy the copilation, so I´ll have them "originals" too.

I´ll invert my $100 inviting my girlfriend to something. :Saint:

you'll notice i said that about quiet world, not about katatonia's music, or all music in general. i've bought all the katatonia music i have, except for quiet world and scarlet heavens, and as soon as i can buy those without paying a hundred bucks for them on ebay, i will. i completely agree that 'why buy it when i can just download it' is a crap attitude. but - if i can't buy it (and being able to 'buy it' by watching ebay for months and paying a huge sum of money doesnt count), then i dont see why i shouldn't be able to download it. that's how i look at it, at least - i look forwards to *buying* brave yester days, largely because i want quiet world on cd. but until then, i'll listen to my mp3 of it, because its honestly not worth paying some used-cd vendor a hundred bucks for the privilege of listening to it. i buy damn near all my music, except for the stuff that i *can't* buy without paying some huge premium to get some rarity. sorry if that's a sucky attitude, but that's how i look at it.
 
There are many albums I'd pay $100 for.

And I wouldn't download rare stuff, I view it as my mission to track them down (kinda like one of those ancient quest thingies :p) :viking:

oh, yeah - i do agree with that - every time i find myself in a cd shop, i look around for a bunch of stuff like that, all the rare crap i want. never find any of it tho :P and so, until i do, i stick with at least being able to listen to it.

:edit: a staunch viking smile :lol: i like it :) just flashes images of some huuuge dude with an a braided red beard and an axe laughing his ass off ;P
 
I've actually had some pretty decent luck with 2nd hand bins and suchlike, found many things. I am still wildly pissed at myself though, for not buying MDBs Symphonaire ep when I saw it. I had already spent $200, so didn't really want to spend another $10 (yes, it was only 10 fucking dollars- that's $5 US), so didn't get it. I still cannot believe I did that...... :mad:
 
Got the SYD EP, am not selling it.

By the way, you can't blame someone for downloading rare tracks, like for instance Quiet World and the W.A.R. comp. tracks, for the simple reason that they are rare and not easily available. You can't blame a person for not willing to pay $100 for it, that's ridiculous.
