Warmoth any good ?

Thinking about building a Tele from Warmoth parts , anyone else built a guitar using their parts ? Or any other companies ? UK based so would rather find a closer supplier and avoid import duties etc ....

I built a guitar back in the 90's from Warmoth parts and it turned out to be a nice guitar that I used for quite some time. The only thing about parts guitars is the resale value sort of suck generally speaking, you tend not to get back what you put into it if you decide to sell it.

Not too worried about resale , if their quality is good it wont be sold . I think I could build a far better tele than what's on offer by fender for the same money.
. It would be good to know if anyone has used these guys more recently and currently has a Warmoth ...... I like the idea of being able to buy different parts over time as money is a bit tight right now . I guess 1000 dollars is going to be the ball park and in the uk that only gets you an entry level fender .

I'm pretty sure there are people who have Warmoth LPs and Explorers here. Can't remember exactly who though. Try to search, I'm sure it will bring up a few results.

A friend has a warmoth neck and he says it is the shit. I am diying to buy a Tele Custom from them when I have money ...they're so filthy

I have a Yamaha Pacifica 921S. As I understand it the body and neck were both manufactured by Warmoth. It vetty nice

I think I could build a far better tele than what's on offer by fender for the same money.

If I was looking for a quality Telecaster I would check out a few of the folks that build them custom over at TDPRI.com (The Telecaster Forums) - I've seen some very high quality Teles built by some of the members of that forum for some pretty decent prices. TDPRI is my second favorite forum besides the Sneap forums of course.

One of my go-to guitars is a Strat-type built with Warmoth parts around 1987-88. Nothing but praise for the quality of their parts

Spoke to a well respected Luthier today about Warmoth , he has put together many guitars for people wanting to use Warmoth parts . He only had good things to say about them . The only thing he stressed was the importance of ordering parts that complement each other (this seems obvious I know) but left to my own devices I would make errors ! Hopefully I will get on with this and maybe post a thread about the parts used and costs involved to put the Tele together . I wont be building myself , just supplying bits .
