It`s a great album , i can`t believe that i didn`t catch it two years ago.
The mix sounds great too, any fans of this incredible record ?
Sorry of there was a topic about it ,but i think this a record that deserve a lot more credit.

yea, really enjoy this album quite a bit - and i don't say that about much these days. my first exposure to Warrel.

James, is Warrel as eccentric in person as he comes across in interviews?

I have been listening to it a lot more lately too. Its really deep if you get into the lyrics. Nice balance between mainstream catchiness and actual songwriting and substance

Long Answer: not any more so than myself, or any other of the lifelong musicians i know... you gotta be a certain degree of "eccentric", at least by the standards of the rest of society, to live the life we lead. Warrel is a very nice guy, and i consider him, as i do all the Nevermore guys, a good buddy.

Short Answer: yes, he is!

I got this one back out again recently and fuck me does it slay. It didn't leave my car for months when it came out. Both the looms and murphs solos kill on it. Great performances all round.

Hail yesterday!

yea, understood.

when i posed the question it did occur to me it had a hint of a negative overtone and that definitely was not my intention. god knows i've been labeled 'odd' over my 25+yrs playing music (yes, i'm old fuck, and damn proud of it!). i respect Warrel quite a bit. like i said before, not much music moves me these days and this cd most definitely does! thanks James.

+1....actually i listen to this more than i do nevermore (please dont hit me)

WD's always been awesome. Everyone in Nevermore is super fucking cool. Jim's told me some of the best road stories I've ever heard, hahahah

I love this album. In fact, I like it more than Jeff's solo album (despite me being a guitarist myself :goggly:). Your Chosen Misery is by far my favourite song off the album, and perhaps one of my favourites all-time.

been friends with those guys (Nevermore) for years ... all of them are really good dudes. Warrel can be just as mellow or just as nutty as the next guy, although my guess is he's tamed it down a bit since he's not drinking anymore

some funny memories of him for sure though

Fantastic singer too. I think a LOT of singers these days really rip off his style and it seems to me he just doesn't get the credit he should a lot of times
