Washed-I Need an Angel (amazing music a must listen classic metal)

This is the band Washed the song I need an Angel original release 1991 this is an American band from PA. I just got into this classic metal band, and I can't believe how amazing they are when the singer JJ Bellew starts singing and the epic chours, please someone tell me more about this band Washed, and if u don't know them you've got to check out this video, it rocks hard.

I have been playing this band on my radio show for years. A true gem.

The band is out of the Lehigh Valley area in PA, and sent me the 9 song demo CD about 2 years ago, and I was hyping it bigtime on my show. They were supposed to do an official release, and then suddenly everything came to a halt.

Their myspace is http://www.myspace.com/washedpa but it has not been active for over a year. You might still be able to purchase all the tracks through snocap but I dont know.

If you are a big fan of this style of music I would highly recommend my show as I play gems like this all the time. I also wouldnt call this "a classic metal band". IMO its more ballsy melodic hard rock ala XYZ, Skid Row (early stuff), Babylon A.D. and so on.

I remember WASHED well since the Allentown area is only about one hour south of me. They used to gig a lot back then with all of the "bigger" name bands that came through. I lost track of them unfortunately because they were very good and actually better than quite a few of the signed bands they opened for. HEAVEN'S EDGE was another underrated band from the Philly area that came and went too quickly. I saw HE only once in Allentown as a matter of fact back in 1991 or so at the airport Music Hall for those who may know of where I speak.

IMO, the song "I Need an Angel" is borderline AOR and reminds me of old TNT, ANGAELICA, or BOULEVARD.

The harder rocking song, "Armed & Dangerous", reminds me of a band from 1988 called HITTMAN. Great cult album.
