It's not about being close minded lol... I'm not a metalhead by any means. I pretty much don't even listen to metal nowadays, I just found it to be a complete failure in trying to be trendy and "modern". Just hearing/reading the word "djent" makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I really don't see what's "cool" about it, it's literally some cheap dubstep with a 7 string guitar playing chords on top of it

On another note, I do love Pendulum, that's a whole new level though

Lets call it evolution, many maybe dont like it, niether do i. But with rock music its the same thing. Just check out this link, i know it all in dutch. But this is about a rockmusic contest. I always thought rock was like metal mostly made with guitars, a bass, drums and a vocalist, and sometimes something extra. There a movie clip of the winner on the page.
