I know what you mean. The "Rest your head now don't you cry, don't ever ask the reason why" bit, is pretty cringe worthy well it makes me cringe, but it's really not that much of a big deal.

The vocal melody of that line is quite possibly my favourite on the album. Cheesy? Fuck no.

I kinda thought cheesy was what it's all about with metal guys. I always look forward to lyrics that force you to take yourself out of everyday contexts and take them at face value as though they had never been uttered before. The music behind lyrics has a tendency to suggest the appropriate mindset for understanding them. And I pity the souls that read along with that spew on Dark Lyrics for Watershed.. Seems like a group of 2nd year english students were forced to interpret the lyrics from a word-bank or some shit.
