I've got the IK multimedia stuff but it just doesn't do it...

Are the Waves CLA still the best la2a/76 comp emulations out there?

Audio deluxe has the pack for 189.99

Really? I think T-RackS sounds pretty damn good. In any case, I find myself using The Rocket in place of an 1176 emulation most of the time. If you're on a non Pro-Tools PC I'd also give ThrillseekerLA a shot as an LA2A. Kicks all kinds of ass and is free (heretical, I know).

As far as IK vs Waves goes, it's pretty subjective, but I personally wouldn't pay the $190. Did you demo them?

I'd say that the Ik Multimedia and Waves are on the same lvl. Both works but can't beat the HW: Haven't tried the UAD's but i can imagine that they are on the same lvl. No plugin can still emulate the attack of the real deal, that's where they all fall short.
