...are going up as I speak, but I'm going to bed after I start this last one. :)

EDIT:

The search engine on YouTube is running behind, so here's a link:

I'll create a unified index page and hang it off my site later. :)

The two Jon Oliva performances and Zak Stevens' song are now up:

(Jon, singing AC/DC)

(Jon, "Warpigs" Pt 1)

(Jon, "Warpigs" Pt 2)

(Zak Stevens)

Who did "Innocence Faded" and "Heartbreaker"? I'd swear it was 'one of us,' but I can't pull the name up right now.... I'll retag them as I put them up....

Still to come, Nathan/Swordlord with Immortal, "Sons of Northern Darkness," plus "Innocence Faded" and Tarathur & Urban Breed's duet.

Several more are up now, including Zane from Halcyon Way's rendition of Styx's "Suite Madame Blue" -- hadn't heard that song in ages, and it still rules!

I'll make up a unified index page once they're all up.

The stage is a bit dark and the audience area was even darker -- I panned the camera over the audience a few times, pointlessly it turns out -- but the audio is amazingly good. I was sure the sound level would be too loud for the camera, but it must have been JUST below distortion level.

Enjoy!

ZANE, YOU RULED!!! I just love this song (given my feelings on the current political situation and 9/11, this song usually makes me tear up) and you totally NAILED IT! Nice job dude, I am so happy I got to see you do that!!!

Nathan

Pellaz, man, you are just unbelievable! Thank you for taking the time to put up all these videos and give us some permanent memories of an amazing evening! You are the man, dude, truly.

Honestly, I had as much fun on Wednesday as I did on any of the other days of the festival. Everyone at karaoke was just amazingly supportive, friendly and made that kind of event 10X more fun than it normally is. Kudos to EVERYONE who came and double kudos to everyone who got up there and sang!

Nathan

Wow! I didn't realize the entire thing was getting taped! Thank God, I would've been even more nervous. Of course, mine hasn't popped up yet, so maybe I'm safe. ;) I did Dust in the Wind, in case you were wondering which one.

Thanks for doing this. I know it can be a lot of work. It is appreciated by all. I had a GREAT time that night. Oliva was awesome as always (even though I missed part of it due to a 12 hour drive). But the karaoke was great and besides the famous guys, it was awesome seeing fellow forum people get up there and bring it!

Everything I got has now processed and posted. Enjoy!

Still looking for whoever did "I Remember You" by Skid Row. Can't tell who it is, or if it's 'one of us.'

I was outside during much of the early going, so I may have missed "Dust In the Wind." I had a lot of batteries-dying-early issues that night, too. :erk:

Cool, thanks!

I don't remember who did that either.

I think I was somewhere in the middle to end, but I noticed there are others missing as well. I'm still trying to figure out how I missed some of this though. I remember Met-Al doing Heartbreaker, but I totally missed him doing Innocence Faded. There are a few others I have no recollection of either. :( Must've been blabbing in the back before I realized what was going on. Sucks about the batteries, it would've been cool to have seen how I really did. Hey, I'm a guitarist, not a singer. What a great, fun night though!

Cool, thanks!

You did awesome, my friend.
It was so good to see you and your lady again...it had been since BARfest, I think!
I would have liked to see how I fared as well, but the memories I have of that night are incredible and either way, what a blast!

Kudos to the OP for taping so much of that night!

Thanks!! So did you and it was your song specifically that I noticed missing. I couldn't believe you took on Amy like that - but you brought it and I thought you kicked ass -- so did Barb!

It was great seeing you again and this time getting more chance to talk. Yes, it was BAR Fest (hanging with Jon Oliva)!

Like I said, you kicked ass! It would've been great to have watched it again. And I totally agree - what a blast!

I'm so glad that we still had karaoke this year! It's a ton of fun seeing everyone go up on stage and rock out! Glenn, I hope you didn't lose too much money on the affair. It looked like a lot of people made donations. Pellaz, I want to thank you for providing all of the metal tracks for the evening and for taping the performances. You're the man! Finally, thanks to everyone who attended for hanging out, singing along, or offering some kind words. Let's hope this continues to be an annual affair!

Stay metal. Never rust.

I think the donations covered it. At any rate, Jory was happy and said he got paid. :) You can tell from the videos he was having a total blast. I love the one where Urban breaks into a high note near the beginning and he just turns around and looks at him in shock.

It was hella fun. Glenn said he'd like to have Jory (and Bob's Karaoke; Jory is the owner/operator) back next year and Jory said he'd love to come back. Geoff Tate is his favorite singer, which is part of the reason he had a lot of QR.

Next year I'll bring more Fates Warning, too, if I remember. I must've had 3 or 4 people ask me for FW.

I've corrected the video info for yours and OrbWeavers. If we can confirm who did "I Remember You" I'll update that one, too.
