Weird? LINE 6 (Gearbox)

I have the POD XTL and I went to the downloads section to upload the current drivers and such, I think I uploaded the firmware for Gearbox instead of XTL....now I have Gearbox and it's models?

I was uploading Line 6 edit because it kept freezing up....something to do with Vista/Java and it's updates I suppose, so I walked away from my laptop and when i returned I noticed it was still loading..... guess I clicked on the wrong link by accident and i noticed it was uploading models

Can you run it as a plugin? That's one way to tell.

I think everyone that owns a line6 product can download and use gearbox as long as your pod is connected to the computer... what you can't do is use it as a VST plugin to record and reamp stuff.....

If I'm not mistaken you're not actually using it as a VST plugin since I see in the taskbar that you've opened the standalone version.

if you have the XTL, just delete your current Line 6 edit and upload gearbox dll's

No,you can not run gearbox,as a plugin.

correct, it's wont work as an actual "vst" just standalone, but it seems like I have extra tones(gold bundle, podxt pro factory, power pack and some others) plus it looks much cooler than the original Line 6 edit

the only ones not working as somebody mentioned were the vocal and bass expansions
