Well, James Rivera did it again!!!

He made yet another band sound like HELSTAR.

I present you the new MALICE track, which is the title track off their new one:

For the record, I do like the track, but you could have honestly told me it was off a new HELSTAR or SEVEN WITCHES album and I would have believed you.

Guess he just has THAT distinctive of a voice, though what amazes me is that the musicians seem to follow HELSTAR's rhythms / leads / bridges / as well..........

So, what's the over / under on MALICE appearing next year at RAGNAROKKR?
Would this be a welcome addition?

I'll be honest. I don't know anything about this band (I may do some digging later); however, I don't know about it sounding exactly like Helstar. I find Helstar to have a heavier, more full sound than this...at least my ears think so.

Agreed about the "z". Maybe they're trying to go for the gangsta rapper crowd? Ha!

zero desire to see them at the next Ragnarokkr. Honestly this wouldnt be a draw asides people wanting to hear or see James. I would rather see the slot go to a deserving band.

Well, that's exactly it.
Kind of like how the Tyrant is a fixture for KEEP IT TRUE, James Rivera and his bands can sort of become the "house band" for Ragnarokkr.
I am not a huge MALICE fan or anything, but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing them.

Too bad he is no longer in SEVEN WITCHES.
Their last album was great, and would have been a good midcard band for the fest, IMHO.

Don't forget his SABBATH JUDAS SABBATH band too!!!!
