Anyone going to the Europe show when they come to Chi-town? Only 20$ a ticket to see them at the House of Blues! Can't get better then that!:hotjump:

I'm glad to know that there's another Europe fan on the forum! I can't make the Chicago show, but if they come closer to Tennessee, I'll be there! Do you have a favorite album by them? Believe it or not, mine is Out of the World. That's some great melodic stuff!

Unfortunately, I do not own any Europe, but my favorite song by them has to be Superstitious. Heard of it? I got to go out and get me some Europe. I want to buy some before I see them. :worship:

I'd love to see Europe play live but I live in Mississippi. Has anyone gotten their new album? I hear its 80s ballid goodness.

I've got it, but I seem to be in the minority on Amazon! IMO, it's not very good at all! I'm just not down with veteran bands reuniting, and putting out something really modern sounding. It's a very stripped down, garage sounding album! It's heavy, for Europe anyway, but I prefer their melodic sound. They have sound clips on www.europetheband.com that you can listen to, to make a judgement for yourself.

I will check out that album KingsGenes. Thanx for the sugguestion. I did download a whole bunch of songs by them, late and early stuff by them. I dig most of them. Thanx all!

Great show put on by the Europe boys last night....too bad not many to see it. Those who did had to be one of the lamest crowds I've been a part of at a rock show. Talk about quiet, I think my Sunday morning church gatherings were louder than these folks in between songs.

Joey T can still belt out the 80's rock, though....and John Norum's a monster on guitar.

Oh man, the best Europe album for me is the S/T debut. Great stuff, totally different band than the one that released 'Cherokee' and 'Caaa-aaaa-rrrr-ieeeee....".

They are the original Def-Leppard, you know.
Europe! Final Countdown?

High and Dry!! Hysteria????

How these bands changed so much is beyond me. Must be drugs....

I just saw them last night in Chicago and they kicked major ass! It is nice to know that there are other Europe fans on this forum. I was a little nervous to start the thread for fear of being publically stoned to death. The only downside to the night was the two openeing bands that I had. WE had a local band named 7th Heaven, and I am not talking about the tv show. They sucked and then there was a band called Slick, which unfortunately I have seen two times before. Two of the members are former members of the band Radakka. You would think they were good, but they suck major ass. Other then that, Europe was all and more of what I expcted. You better believe I walked out of the venue with a tee shirt! I jsut wish they would have played Settle for Love. That is my favorite song off the new album. What songs did you think they performed the best?

KingsGene, how many people do you think were at the show? I hate to hear that they're not pulling ok crowds! Since you're into 80's hard rock, do you like Badlands and Jake E. Lee? Jake has just released a new solo cd this past Tuesday, you ought to check it out! Mine hasn't arrived in the mail yet, but it should be here any day now.

I saw them last night. Damn, what a show. Less than a hundred people, but they made a lot of noise, and the band played like we were ten thousand. Took a zillion photos, too, just in case this is not only the first but the LAST time I ever get to see them...

7th Heaven... Bwahahah those guys do suck bad... lol They been around forever though. There used to be another local band years back called Cutlass. They sucked aswell. At least we have Ion Vein and 12th Gate, It's good to atleast have some balls in our local scene...

The self titled album rules. Almost power metalish at times. "Seven Doors Hotel" and "In The Future To Come" are classics. Wings of Tomorrow is an awesome album too. "Scream of Anger" is a great song. Final Countdown and Out of this World are good albums too but my favs are the first two.
