What´s up with the name changes?

I think the first was Adam Wathan, the artist formerly known as forbidden? Many have done it lately, changing their teenage nickname to their real name. Personally I´m cool with it, I´m always about knowing and reffering to people with their real name as the people here who know me through msn or Pms know. Just wondering, was it something premeditated? was it a thread I missed? or did we all just mature all of a sudden?

I think it's that going by a real name instead of a nick is a tad less formal and awkward.

Although having said that, Marcus seems to know EVERYONES name, nick or not.

I like that alot of dudes have done it recently. Makes it easier to remember their names instead of going "oh hey, I want to track down that thread that "Moontits" created a while back". I mean, some of the names on UM (and all other forums) can be abit OTT.

That's fine mate. Dan never felt right to me anyway haha. Of course my other option is to list the name my sister calls me: Djosko, but I doubt many will remember that one any more than Moontits

If it weren't for their sigs it would of took a bit to figure out who changed their name. Personally I'v always gone by SocialNumb on the net. It just describes who I am. (if you get it )

There are too many "Metal_" names around here anyway, I'd like to tone it down a bit.

Yeah, I signed up to some other recording forum a long time ago as "Metalhead" because I was only interested in recording metal.
When I came here I kept the same name, even though it does seem silly to me in precisely the way you mentioned. Especially considering I'm not even that metal anymore....haha.
