What´s up with the name changes?

I used to be all about nicknames when I was younger, but as soon as I try coming up with one these days, I instantly feel it's geeky and it should be obliterated because it sucks so bad. So for a few years I just used random band names as my nick name on the internet, and "Gojira" was a name that stuck with me for a long time. But that too felt geeky and lame so these days I just go with my real name whenever I can... but I also feel my real name is lame so it's not so funny
