From Afar was a pretty good album. It is nowhere near as good as the self titled album, but it is still pretty good.

Well...that really goes without saying. Ensiferum hasn't been Ensiferum since Iron. Petri is a pretty shit singer, although I never really minded it too much.

I did, From Afar and Twilight Tavern are the best imo. The album is sounding pretty samey to me. Will give it a few more listens before I laydown my verdict though.

ATM its not as good as any of the previous releases.

Its rather "samey" yee. I find the thing to be pretty boring. They seem to just be following the same pattern song to song as they did with Victory songs. Although VS had its moments (Deathbringer, magic potion, wanderer, and victory song).

Petri failed at being Alexi. Now hes failing at being Jari, mainly because hes too much of a metal snob and scene-whore to develop his own style.
