A remake of Battle Royale has been greenlit. It has the potential to be good, since the subtitles were quite shoddy in the original, but I'm sure the remake will miss the point.

I'm not sure watching non-asian schoolchildren kill one another will have the same entertainment value for me. I'd like to see a version that kept a little closer to the book, but I hardly expect that out of an American remake.

why is the original Wicker Man fucking nonexistant? it was on IFC last Halloween, but the tv was being screamed at by my dad & cousin when i wanted to watch it, and i just thought "hey, it'll be on again."

no. never. and i can't find the dvd anywhere. you'd think they'd be reissuing, or re-producing that dvd now that the shit-tastic remake is out, but no. lame.
