So im a massive fan of Joey's work and ive been working a lot on my bands music, sitting and spending a lot of time mixing, editing, programming, mastering and everything you could think of!
I was just wondering what you guys think of the entire thing!
my main concern is the vocals, it was recorded with a really cheap mic,its also my first time trying to mix vocals in a song, let me know what you think..

Thanks, Hayden :D

The reverb is automated ...so there isnt a constant reverb on the vocals, its just in some parts! there is delay tho!
thanks for your input! anyone else?

Overall pretty professional sounding I'd say. The vocals sound fine for being recorded on a cheap mic. I think the screams need a bit more room to breathe though. And you could take a bit of reverb off of the cleans and try boosting around the high end to get a bit more clarity so it cuts through the mix more. There's something in the low end too that seems a bit loud. I can't really tell if it was just the low end of the kick or the bass, but I think it's the bass. And this is kind of personal preference but I don't like the guitars super up-front so i'd say to bring them down maybe 2-3db or so, but that's just me. Would you mind sharing how you EQ'd your guitars? I'm definitely liking how it flows with the kick

Thanks dude, Eq on the guitars ? High pass and low pass 100hz and 9khz..cut the 4khz out, thats it :) and about the low end, its the kick drum, i like them loud!

Dang, well from just doing that, you have a pretty good tone lol and ahh I gotcha x) Thumbs up on it all though. Sounds really good
I absolutely love how the clean vocals in the beginning of The Last Time flow btw. Super catchy lol

As it's been said before, the vox sound like they were recorded on a less than stellar mic. The vocal performance also isn't great. The snare has WAY too much reverb on it for my taste, and the drums overall sound pretty stock SD2. The guitars also sound like they've been EQ'ed to death and back. Bass guitar is totally inaudible, if there is one.

i think the vocal performance is ok actually..reverb on snare is with taste, but theres hardly any, it just has a long ring sound on the snare. if you look above you in the comments you will see the EQ that has been done to the guitars (hardly any..) and you will be surprises, there is bass and its definitely audible . Im not cancelling what you saying, im just stating facts! Thanks for your input anyway dude :)
