what do you guys think would be different if gore were in office rather than bush?

basically josh, ashcroft, as you know, is a total psycho. he wouldnt be there if bush hadn't appointed him. gore never would have. ashcroft is violating tons of personal freedoms, total big brother stuff, he is wayyyyy into war, way into third world country hating, he is pretty racist, he's not very bright, and he has no good military record. i mean, the list goes on.
 
agreed about ashcroft--that's why i said the civil liberties thing.

preppy--imagine the humanitarian situation in afghanistan now, but two to four times worse. i'm not saying it's not messed up now, but a more drawn-out, less decisive war would have made it even worse.

goatschool--what do you mean, exactly? why would gore have caught osama? i'm not sure of that, i have a feeling, though; maybe gore would have been able to work out diplomacy in such a way as to put more of a damper on osama's flight path?

So in essence, he's the most obvious republican choice for defense secretary.
