:yow: Where'd you see that?! I'd love that show.

They did it on the last tour, the one that was suppise to have Nevermore and Soilwork. They didn't say they were going to do it. In fact, they were conducting a poll on their Facebook page asking what song from each album the fans wanted to hear, as if it was going to be a fans pick the setlist with at least one song from each album. And instead they played Iconoclast start to finish. Some people were not very happy about that.

I added a couple more albums to my list.

To answer espz's question, Dream Theater played "Master of Puppets" twice on the "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" tour: once in Spain (for which you can find on CD from YtseJam Records) and once in Chicago (the show I attended). Between 2002 and 2006, Dream Theater were playing select cities for two-night stands. The first night was always a three-hour show of original material, and then the band would play a special set for the second night. The first 90 minutes would be all-original material that was about 85% different from what they played on the first night, and then they would play a classic album in its entirety and follow it up with another 30 minutes of originals for an encore. Over that span of time, they had performed the following albums:

"Master of Puppets" by Metallica
"The Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden
"Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd
"Made in Japan" by Deep Purple

You can find official bootlegs of each of these performances on CD, and you can even find the Pink Floyd album performance on DVD. They're all very well done.

Qrusher14242, I didn't realize that Dio didn't perform "Turn to Stone" on the Magica tour. It's been so long since that tour happened that I guess I just imagined it being played. I'll be damned!

Stay metal. Never rust.

Damn, I wish I'd been able to make one of those.

It wasn't billed as such, but didn't Beyond the Bridge play their entire debut album at Progpower? Or did they miss a song or two?

Personally I can't stand Dream Theater, but that is really cool. If one of my favorite bands (e.g. Iron Maiden or Blind Guardian) did that I would hardly be able to contain my excitement.

Only two as far as I can recall, both of them from this year's ProgPower Europe:

Jolly - The Audio Guide to Happiness part I & II
Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane

I was in Chicago too, and I flew to see the other three shows. yes, I am that DT freak who flies anywhere to see them do a special show.
