My mate is a dj and he got a new mixer and effects board, so we hooked up the turn tables and played with it over a few beers and tequila shots.

It's actually alot of fun, and it's a fuckload harder than it looks. There is so much technical shit going on you need to know.

Scratching and beat mixing is an artform. I did a bit of it years ago but never did much with it.

Yeah I don't imagine it would be that easy, but most forms of making music aren't.

Sampling and stuff can be very cool when used properly. Die Krupps, for example, have one awesome thrashy industrial sound going on.
