yeh....just why maiden chose what is meant to be their only uk festival this year to be download i really don't know. It irritates the hell out of me, that's for sure. Audioslave are a good excuse to see tom morello, but for me the mix with chris cornell doesnt really work. As for the second day headliners...i think that just says it all. What sick mind put those two headliners in the same festival i really don't want to know...

If only more people thought like that. Perhaps I'm jsut being cynical, but it seems to me that the likes of Download and Ozzfest seem to carry one or two bands that will appeal to 'real' metallers in order to increase numbers.

I'm no Iron Maiden fan, but if it were my favourite band headlining I wouldn't be prepared to pay how ever much it is to sit through a whole day of rubbish just to hear them, especially considering they'll most likely play again next year.
