i wouldn say screw developement in graphics and other hardware,
BUT if they started to make hard drives run faster the whole machine would speed up incredibly. and i dont mean improve on current hard ware, they need something new. the hard disk is what is the main bottleneck in most machines. Get yourself an s-ata western digital raptor and say good bye to them boot screens.

The ventilation systems should be way more silent! Hey, if these new ultra silent cases weren't so expensive (they come at several hundred Euros right now) I would already have one!
