What is song 666 on your WinAmp?

I have about 20,000 MP3s, and 99% of them are illegal. Go go supporting the artists!

Also I don't have a track 666, because I use a media library like a real man. I am also going to switch to MusikCube once they finish the Audioscrobbler plugin, since it runs off SQLite and that's neat ^____^

Why rip em? To listen them from shitty computer headphones? (if you have shitty headphones, i do) with paying attention to something else?

So listening to music should only be allowed on great equipment while concentrating only on the music? Get over yourself. I listen to my mp3s when chatting and browsing and reading on my pc.

true, but just because we listen to it like that, doesn't mean we don't also spend "music time". I often sit and listen to music on transit and just focus on it (helps me ignore the smelly/creepy/druggedup people sitting beside me).

Yes, so do i.. but when you listen to music mainly by that, its value is signicantly lost

I take it you mean people who download and are too cheap to buy their music. There is not much that beats getting a new cd and listening to it while reading the booklet and liner notes. In fact, I should stop downloading promos (in advance) because I am ruining the meaning of buying albums if I've already heard them.

Ugh, this is stupid! Of course you should support the artists you enjoy. But listening to high-quality mp3s in advance, before buyng the album is absolutely acceptable. Especially if you're as clever sa me, and have your computer directly plugged into your high-quality vintage stereo. :)

I've got my computer plugged directly into my stereo, and I rip for convenience.. Like I said, it's a bitch to rummage through the four different places where I keep my music to find something in particular when I can just hit F3, and it's even more of a hassle to change between the CD and vinyl players since the built-in crappy 5 CD changer is broken (only plays in one speaker for some reason).. Well, you should start to get my point about now?

EDIT: And of course I don't ONLY listen to mp3s, new items usually (I'd like to say always but that wouldn't be true) get a spin in the correct player while looking in the booklet/lyric sheet/tape insert, and every now and then I dedicate a night only to vinyls or tapes, sometimes cds as well

Yeah, I listen to music pretty much all the time, usually with headphones on whilst I'm on the PC and then I'll often spend some time just listening to music in bed or something. It's great both ways :)

I fail to see why it's gay to have a lot of mp3s. It's not like the people at the RC forum doesn't buy any music. Mp3s make me buy more music. My server has about 70 GB's of properly tagged "original releases" and the collection is growing.

This man speaks the truth!

I neither use Winamp (it's Foobar for me), nor do I see any reason to have more than one album at a time in my playlist. But if I add all mp3s nonetheless, position 666 is taken by Darkflight's "A Call For The Dragons".

Foobar ftw... when people say "winamp" i assume they mean "music playing software".

I have more than one album in a playlist, but they're not on "shuffle" they're just in order so it automatically moves onto a new album when it finishes one. It also makes it that much easier to change to a new album.

How do I see which is song number 666 in Winamp? [/idior]
Like so:

(BTW, this is the track that's really 666, with all my songs added in the order I usually have -- lol how terribly fitting a track, do I win or something)

(BTW, once when I didn't have a lot of albums ripped, "The Number of the Beast" seriously ended up at 666 once)

(BTW, I pay too much attention to useless shit like this)

Yeah I never add songs to Winamp and do the random play thingy, I just double click mp3 when I want play them shitz, or open file CD craptasm.

Hence, I have no Song 666, or even Song 1. Balls.
