I heard the song again in the pub last night and I was singing along to it and wondering who it was and it wasn't till they sang the chorus that I realised it was Lordi. I think the song is FANTASTIC now, really catch and it definitely grows on you,the more you hear it the more I think you will all love it.

Baldyboy - yeah The Garage is a pretty good venue, the last band I saw there was Magnum about 5 months ago on their On A Storyteller's Night Anniversary Tour - they were brilliant - I hadn't seen Magnum for years and I was stunned at how tremendous they still sound. I'm seriously thinking of getting a ticket for Lordi at the Garage, I'll try and have a wee listen to some more of their songs and see what they sound like - I'm sure they would be pretty entertaining live

My vision is that metal is all about the music not the looks or even the act, and that can go too for big sets like Maiden used to carry around or Judas motorbike gimmick, or Ritchi Blackmore breaking guitars on stage. All that is absolutely unnecesary to me. I prefer a longer set and just the band playing with heart and soul.

The question stiil remains, did Lordi won because of the music or the looks?

They won because they play funny and catchy hard rock, they won because they're way different from everything else at Eurovision, they won because they make people want to rock and sing along! And also because thousands of metalheads probably voted for them
Lordi are full of gimmicks for sure, but there's cool music to be found behind the looks.

Speaking of Eurovision.... WIG WAM from Sweden made the finals last year but didn't win, but they are much better than Lordi. Their album is unreal and the song they entered "In My Dreams" is fuckin' dynamite!!!! I definitely recommend checking them out!!!
