What is this symbol?

I have always wondered what this symbol meant (the small symbol inside the circle)

And I remember it being on the banners at each side of Tude's drumkit when I saw them in 2008.

And it's on one of the flipsides of the directors cut of The Varagian Way.

If anyone could tell me what it means, i'd be very grateful

For lack of a better explanation, I would say the symbol is a graphical depiction of the slavic language lyrics from "In The Court Of Jarisleif".

It's old finnish / kalevala "hand symbol"
Can be seen here and there, like in old coins
