what is up with DC++?

everytime i try to log on its says my nick has been taken..how the hell? and even if i change like all my settings then i cant get on..did i get banned? or kicked for the day? a moderator plz explain.

theres a bug where when u exit the program your name will sometimes still be there. its happened to me a lot of times. i just changed my name when that happened. not too much of a trouble.

If it happens, change your name and go into the hub in question, ask an OP to kick your clone, then change your name back to normal and go in again.

It's NOT a DC++ bug,
the way TCP/IP works.. A is still connected when A pulls out his network cable. the hub will notice that A has gone offline, first after it sends packets and recieves no acknowledgements (after a standard timeout period)
