Incorrect! They played it live once (Milwaukee Metal Festival or something?) and decided they couldn't perform it how they wanted to and never to play it live again. But it has been played, there's recordings of it.L0bster said:

I often wondered about Black Rose Immortal, but I know for a fact is has been playes a couple of times long ago, one of those was in front of something like 120 ppl. Pretty exclusive. Got to know this when I met Mr Åkerfeldt in the Old Town of stockholm.
