i'm pretty sure there was a punk band named anthrax at one time. i have no idea what era they were from or if they're still around.

There was a band from England in the 70s called ANTHRAX. They were British Punk/Crass. I believe they changed their name to A Show Of Hands. I believe they actually had the name Anthrax first. Never heard them, and sometimes you can find their albums on Ebay.

There's also a venue, in Connecticut I think, called Anthrax.
