What to do when you're selling an amp that you don't want to get rid of...

You steal its soul! :)

So long story short. I'm moving abroad in the next two months. I've got two job offers. One is in Australia and the other one is in Germany... I'd be working for Thomann if I get the job. :) I have to leave my gear somewhere safe but I have to fund my trip. Someone offered to buy my Rockerverb 100 MKII and PPC412 cab for a good price so this is my last day with the amp.

So today I've been recording the preamp and making impulses and everything so I can always use my Rockerverb digitally on my computer. I know it's sad as f*** but it was fun. Here's the "main" tone I ended up getting and now I have it. This has no post processing. 100% guitar - amp - cab -sm57 but the digital version.

Any thoughts and has anyone ever done something similar? :)

I did the same but not for a move - I was just sick of having huge amps around and not being able to use them whenever/wherever I wanted, so I sold my 6505/Mesa setup, bought a KPA, and then profiled the amp I sold since it was a local sale. I haven't regretted it once since!
