Just curious what song would be cool for IM to cover as a B-side for a single off their next studio album? Maybe something obscure they could do justice to and rock...

My pick: Mysteries and Mayhem (by Kansas)

Hey yeah Keyz, that makes sense now! Bruce's voice always has reminded me of Ian Gillan~ I heard Bruce do an awesome version of Perfect Strangers. My pick~ Zero The Hero from Black Sabbath's Born Again album......no, wait....make that TRASHED, same album.

Interesting choices Mini. Born Again was an underrated album IMO.

PS - how'd the online pizza work out? :err:

It would be nice for IM to cover something obscure from UK metal, so fans can get in touch with new music, can be anything from the 70's or NWOBHM. Or something that has been an influence for the guys in the band.

I would LOVE it if Iron Maiden covered Deep Purple's Highway Star or Speed King... being that dear ol' Bruce's idol is the great Ian Gillan
I agree! That would be very cool. It would be even more cool if Bruce could hit the high notes too! Speaking of hitting high notes, I saw DP back in the 80's during their Perfect Strangers tour. I never saw DP before, or Ian Gillan for that matter, but I was totally blown away that Ian could still hit the high notes. It was unbelieveable and I'd love to hear him again. Anybody follow him? What's he doing?

I heard that was a great tour. I saw the House of Blue Light tour (which was also great). I saw DP in '96 with Steve Morse at the House of Blues and it was killer. Ian Gillan still sounds great. I read Jon Lord has since retired, but the band is still touring. They've done 2 studio albums with Morse and have released a few DVD's of live stuff that is worth checking out.
