Whatever happened to 'Mastered by Muppets'?

Yeah - it's my fault! Got the guitars finished ages ago but had to re-do the drums. It is ALL finished now.

We also had someone with serious thrash credentials doing the vocals (not sure if he wants to be made publicly known or not... but any serious thrash fan could guess who it is when they hear the final version) It's all been tracked really well, so it's all in the fine hands of Oz now! :)

the myspace site is still under construction, but start adding us as friends... although don't start spreading the word until the track is up.

One. Jesus Christ, like we've got nothing better to do! :)

Anyway, reamping the guitars as I write this. Dan's playing is spot-on & tight as hell. Very impressive.

Are you going to be trying to get as close as possible to the original sounds??

Anything else completely impossible you'd like me to accomplish while I'm at it? Perhaps prove black is really white & get myself killed at that next zebra crossing? (thank you, Douglas Adams!)

No. I'm not Micheal Wagner & Dan isn't James Hetfield. I can go for a "Metallica type vibe" but that's it. The sound is in the hands.

I wasn't expecting you to try and fucking ace the tone dude. Chill. I was just wondering what path you were going to shoot for or if it was going to be something crazy or whatever.

Wasn't being hostile, man.... just a smartass :)

it's all good.

FWIW, I've never heard anyone get the Metallica rhythm tone except Hetfield. He's just got something unique about his playing style. The song certainly has the vibe, though, that's for sure.

As for dynamics, yeah, that's kinda the point, unless the mastering engineer fucks it up! (not mentioning any names, LASSE!):lol::lol:

I've always imagined this as trying to sound as awesome as possible, like if metallica were to go into a studio in 2008 and re-record puppets, whilst trying to retain the exact vibe and performances on the original. That's the aim. (or was my aim)

I'm actually just quite stoked that I've had the pleasure of working with the people involved in this project - hopefully when it surfaces it will get a lot of attention but you never know...

The singer would like to remain anonymous at this point so I'm going to respect his wishes, which means l'm afraid you guys will have to speculate amongst yourselves!

Took the opportunity to g'head and add any fuckers I didnt already have on my myspace as well while in this thread.

Go Clipping Death, Go.
