What's been done to these drums?

If anyone can tell me what's been done to the drums at the start of this (at about 8 seconds) it'd be highly appreciated. They sort of get deeper and glitchy as time goes a long and fade out eventually.

The fade type effect you refer to sounds like a high Q EQ sweep and/or low pass filter sweep thats been automated.
Then just verbs and tap delays and maybe modulation LFO type stuff.
To my ears any who.
