My educated guess - the site is being redesigned.

A related point - WHY do bands remove the current page whiel they redesign? Cannibal Corpse did this recently, they took the site down for about a month while they redid it. WHY???? Why not leave the old one alone until the new one is finished? This way, there is no official site for ages. It's stupid.

Maybe they're testing something... or there were problems.
I dont really think a professional webmaster could be that stupid...

HammerFall redid their website, but they left the old one on until about 3 days before they put up the new one.

i do websites, and they probably do it because they're too lazy to put the whole new page into a temporary folder, and then have to reconfigure whatever system they use to update it when the new stuff goes online for real...
